Can I choose what I eat?

Menus are set by a registered dietitian on a rotating cycle. Tell us about medical diets and allergies at enrolment.

Can a family member sign someone up?

Yes, with the older adult’s consent. Adult children and caregivers start most of these conversations.

That is common after a hospital stay. Short-term meal support is available while you recover.

Food

A meal is rarely just a meal. For a homebound neighbour it is often the only knock on the door that day.

What you get

Home-delivered meals
A hot, balanced meal brought to the door by a driver who checks in on you while they are there.
Senior center dining
A midday meal at one of our centers, with company and the day’s activities either side of it.
Farmers market nutrition
Seasonal vouchers for fresh fruit and vegetables from Virginia growers.
Weekend and emergency boxes
Shelf-stable food so a storm or a holiday closure never means an empty cupboard.
Special diets
Meals that account for diabetes, renal diets, low sodium and common allergies.

Adults 60 and over. Home-delivered meals are for people who cannot easily leave home or prepare a full meal for themselves.

Meals are offered on a suggested-contribution basis. No one is turned away for inability to contribute.

One call reaches every program. Family members can call on someone’s behalf with their permission.

How it works

Call for an assessment
A resource specialist asks a short set of questions to understand your situation.
We visit or call to enrol you
Most people are enrolled within a week. Urgent cases move faster.
Meals start
Delivery drivers run set routes on weekdays. You will know roughly when to expect them.
We keep checking in
If a driver cannot reach you, we follow up. That check is part of the service.
