Which services are billed?

Private-pay in-home care and some fee-for-service programmes are invoiced monthly. Meals, I-RIDE, Medicare counselling, the ombudsman and wellness classes are free or offered on a voluntary contribution basis.

Question 2

I cannot afford this month's invoice. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Ring 757-461-9481 and ask for billing before the due date. We can arrange a payment plan, re-check whether you qualify for a subsidised programme, and in no circumstances will we stop somebody's care without speaking to them first.

Question 3

Where do I find my account number?

Accepted Answer

It is printed at the top right of your invoice, above the billing period. If you cannot find the invoice, call billing with your name and address and we will look it up.

Question 4

Can somebody else pay on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A family member or a power of attorney can pay online or by phone using your account number. We will send the receipt to whichever address you nominate.

Question 5

Do you take Medicaid or long-term care insurance?

Accepted Answer

For eligible services, yes. Care coordination can help you check waiver eligibility and can bill a long-term care insurance policy directly in many cases.
