Are the vans wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Tell the scheduler what mobility equipment you use and we will assign the right vehicle.

What if I need to cancel?

Call as soon as you know. Cancelling frees the slot for a neighbour who is waiting.

Who it is for

Adults 60 and over living in Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Isle of Wight or Southampton County. Veterans of any age may qualify for veteran transportation.

What it costs

Rides are offered on a suggested-contribution basis. No one is turned away for inability to contribute.

What happens after you call

Call us
Ring 757-461-9481 and ask for I-RIDE. A scheduler will take your details in one call.
Tell us where and when
Give us at least two business days’ notice. Standing weekly rides can be set up once.
We confirm the day before
You get a call with your pick-up window and the driver’s first name.
We take you and bring you home
Drivers help you to and from the door. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available.
