HealthWise technology coaching expands to three more libraries

Telehealth was supposed to make care easier to reach. For a lot of our neighbours, it did the opposite. This program closes that gap.

HealthWise technology coaching is now running at three additional public libraries, bringing the program to nine locations across our service area.

Telehealth was supposed to make care easier to reach. For a substantial share of our neighbours it did the opposite: an appointment that used to be a bus ride became a video platform, a password and a settings menu.

Coaching sessions are one-to-one and run sixty minutes. People bring what they want to do, not what we think they should learn. “See my grandson’s face” is a perfectly good learning objective, and it is the most common one.

Notes go home in large print. There is no cap on how many sessions you can book. Repetition is the method, not a failure of it.

Tablets are available on short-term loan with data for people who do not yet have a device.
